Burton Play is a purpose-built childcare setting based in the grounds of Burton upon Stather Primary School, near Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire. We offer a variety of flexible childcare options for children from two weeks old to 11 years old.
We are a member of the Early Years Alliance which supports us to help our children learn through play, giving them the best possible start in life.
Our curriculum has its foundations in the belief that children learn when they feel safe and happy and have the opportunity to lead their own play. Children learn best when they are engaged in play, supported by interested, caring adults who extend their learning by following their interests. Read our full mission statement.
Our Childcare Offer
Incorporating our nursery room for under twos and our pre-school room for two to four year olds, Burton Bears offers funded childcare places and private places throughout the year. We’re open from 7.45am until 6pm every weekday, with a flexible pricing structure to suit your needs.
Kids’ Club at Burton Play provides childcare for school-aged children. Our Breakfast Club is open from 7.45am to 8.45am every weekday, whilst our after-school club is open from 3.30pm to 6pm. We can take your child to the school in the morning and collect them at the end of the school day, or even when they have finished an after-school activity.
We’re always pleased to hear from our families and prospective families. If you cannot find the information you need on our website, or you would like to have a look round the setting, please contact us.
